Enthusiasts seem to find out something that is not interesting to non toy train enthusiasts. Like the question on which type of plastic is used to make trains o scale? Some answers were PVC, some were ABS. Others don’t agree with ABS because it has been known to be a breakable type of plastic. In the movie the Scale Hudson” showed different types of plastic used for train models, which was year 1992. I wonder how many were added in about eighteen years.Hearing about Manhattan Pullmans and Box Cars which use plastic at the time of Lionel, they call it Molded Bake light which might mean that the plastics were neatly made!
