What do you think the prospects are in the M. L. B. when you go four for five in your first ever big league game? And add two homeruns amongst those four hits. For J. P. Arencibia, the Blue Jays new catcher, numbers like this might not happen enough to satisfy the fans.

Blue Jays boss Cito Gaston acknowledges the special talent that Arencibia offers. He appreciates with that sort of talent that he has a bright future in baseball but Arencibia must realize and understand that there is a learning curve.

Gaston said that he planned to back Arencibia off a bit to alleviate pressure when asked about his future playing time.

Gaston really wants to minimize the stress on Arencibia so the kid can just relax and pick the brains of experienced catchers like John Buck and Jose Molina.
