Cito Gaston’s only regret is that he won’t be manager of the Blue Jays after this year. Gaston thinks that the next several years with the Blue Jays will be very exciting.

Gaston said when he was talking with Mike Scioscia, manager of the L. A. Angels, that Scioscia asked him what he was going to do. Cito told him that he thought it could be fun being around for the next few seasons since he believes the Blue Jays are a team on their way up and advancing swiftly. The manager of the Jays believes he is getting a little long in the tooth to stick around.

Gaston doesn’t regret the choice to retire right at the end of 2010. He was quoted saying he is still enjoying it and is feeling great. The choice to retire was made in January of this year.

Gaston went on to say that being 66 now, he still has things to do before he can’t walk anymore.

Cito believes that whoever replaces him, the Blue Jays will be in good hands.
