Corningware Teapot P-104 on stovetop?

Posted by admin on May 31st, 2010 and filed under electric teapots | 2 Comments »

Can an old Teapot P-104 be used on an electric stove top burner?

Yes, but not directly on the burners. The pot came with a thin wire star shaped trivet that you put under the teapot. Contact Corning on line to find out how to get one. I know my old Corning coffee pot was recalled, but the teapots are OK.

If you put the pot directly on the burner, you may risk cracking of either the pot or the burner.
