They are called … They are called cafetieres in the UK. You can get all metal ones, because if you drop a glass one… You won’t need the insulation jacket if you warm the pot with hot water first, and if you add the coffee first and pour the water onto it, you won’t need to stir it. They do make terrific coffee.
Nice. I’m gona get … Nice. I’m gona get me one of those coffee press. How do you store your coffee as I have heard that coffee beans dosen’t store very long.
I just got back from the supermarket with a few more tins for my food storage. It’s slowly coming together.
Hmm, I should get … Hmm, I should get one of these. Right now I’m dependent on buying filters for my coffee machine. A screen type like that bypasses that problem.
It’s called a … It’s called a french press. You can buy one at a Walmart or sporting goods store in the camping section – that’s where I got mine. They have nicer ones in the small appliance section on some stores as well. When I worked overseas this is what I used to brew coffee since an electric coffee pot was hard to come by.
My friend who was … My friend who was in the AF told me they used to make concoctions with all the MRE ingredients. I remember him saying something about mixing the instant coffee, creamer, jelly packet, and something else as a dessert. Hey, whatever works. For me, nothing beats a fresh cup of HOT coffee.
I had buddy in the military that use to get up in the morning and empty a pack of really crappy, horrible instant army coffee into his mouth and wash it down with cold water. And this was right before brushing his teeth.
That’s a hellava way to make coffee without electricity
