Back in January of this year I decided to make some real changes including health and diet.
That meant looking round for a fitness program and changing my eating habits. My goals were pretty simple to lose weight and add muscle.
Spent far too long just looking at all the information available on the internet before doing anything, but finally decided on using Muscle Max XL.
There were some great reviews (all of them claimimg you could get ripped, bench press huge amounts of weight) but most interestingly increase energy.
So I went ahead with a free trial (pay shipping and handling of $3.87) to check out the product.
Metabolism
Im not someone who puts on muscle easily, worse I seem to lose it or worse, actually gain fat in its place within a few weeks of stopping regular exercise.
Now Im in my forties so my metabolism is slowing down without proper diet and exercise its all too easy to gain a little middle age spread. I know plenty of guys of a similar age to me who have just given up.
The Failures
Its not as though I havent really tried. Ive been a member of six different gyms. I did the programs and kept on going even when I reached a plateau and stopped making progress.
I havent taken any body building supplements until Muscle Max XL, mainly because the claims made for them seemed so outrageous that they couldnt possibly be true.
I studied Science including biochemistry and molecular biology at College so some of their pseudo scientific language just really annoys me. In fact I became even more skeptical, determined not to waste money on any of them.
A Friends Advice
In fact it was complaining about these claims to a friend (who I thought was a real gym rat) that put me straight. He has great posture, bags of energy and is clearly fit and healthy.
Looking at him I thought he must be one of those guys who spends a couple of hours everyday down at the gym fanatically pushing himself to the limits 7 days a week. He told me that was just nonsense.
He was having great success using this body building supplement and by going to the gym just three times a week, eating healthy and drinking lots of water. He said to me just try it and find out for yourself.so I decided to give it a go.
Success!
Now Im well into my program. I joined a gym and just went with the schedule they gave me. This time though I paid a lot more attention to a healthy diet and drinking plenty of water.
The most dramatic improvement for me was to lift three times more weight by bicep curl in just five weeks. I also lost ten pounds in my first two months all fat.
I now look and feel much leaner friends and family have commented on just how much weight I seem to have lost.
Actually its not just weight loss that makes me look different its that I am much stronger and stand taller.
The biggest gain for me is how I feel. I feel much more positive and energised and ready to tackle anything.
Giving Muscle Max XL a trial was the best decision I ever made for my body, mind and self.
