How do you get the grease off your burner on your stove?

Posted by admin on May 12th, 2010 and filed under teakettles | 5 Comments »

I left a teakettle on way too long and I ruined it but also there seem to be grease or burnt marks around my burner.

Turn it on high and let it burn off!!!!

I left a burner on my stove lit on high for around 6 hours. Can this cause a gas leak in a gas oven?

Posted by admin on May 10th, 2010 and filed under teakettles | 3 Comments »

It kind of smells in the kitchen and surrounding rooms, even up to the attic, where i sleep. Im worried that I might be selling gas, but i’ve never smelled it before and can’t be sure.

It could also be the burning smell of the teakettle which was on the burner… I just want to know i’m safe. What if im breathing in carbon monoxide as I type this?

It will more than likely just cause A leak in your wallet when you pay the gas bill

What is the best way to care for a Le Creuset teakettle?

Posted by admin on May 5th, 2010 and filed under teakettles | 1 Comment »

I found a red enamel teakettle by Le Creuset at a discount store (50% off!), so there was no box and no instructions for care included.

Thanks for your help!

Hand wash in hot, soapy water.
The enameled surface can chip or crack if dropped or banged against a hard surface.
Empty the kettle of water between uses to prevent the buildup of mineral deposits.
Do not fill the kettle above the spout opening inside.
Be sure the handle is in the locked position during use.
Never heat the kettle empty or allow it to boil dry.
