Have heard more than one Brit complain that they can’t wait to be back home to have a good cup of tea. I have a teapot, electric kettle, box of PG Tips ( box claims it is England’s no 1 tea) and a teacup that would do Hyacinth Bucket proud…..now what? Can anyone help a girl out?
Warm the teapot with a little hot water and empty.
Put 2 tea bags (tend to use 1 tea bag per person, but if you are only having tea for one, then 1 tea bag in a pot is pants) and put the equivalent of about 2 large cups of boiling hot water into the tea pot.
Now get your cup and put sugar into it (white sugar, that is) – maybe just one for a cup (we brits tend to favour the "mug" which is larger. NOTE not everyone takes sugar, so you could try with or without.
Plonk some milk on top of the sugar in the cup. We brits favour full fat or semi-skimmed milk – don’t know what you’ve got.
You are waiting for 2-3 minutes for the tea to brew. When the appropriate length of time has passed, give it a little stir with your tea spoon.
Now pour the tea into the waiting cup. Give it all a stir. Get yourself a rich tea or digestive buscuit (although watch out for those digestives because they like to fall apart in the cup).
Sit back and enjoy.
Yum.
I accidently melted my teapot on my electric burner. I forgot to turn the burner off and iIt melted so bad that the teapot which was white was now brown and now there is part of the teapot on the burner. It almost burned through the teapot. Does anyone know how to remove teapot from the burner. There is white from the teapot on the burner. PLEASE HELP!
I let it cool down and tried to remove the material with a brillo, scraping it and a sponge, but nothing worked.
you can, for a reasonable cost, replace the burner on the stove….they just plug in….it easy to replace…..good luck

At the end of the day it’s just a game so have fun with it and if you’re getting frustrated because you ‘re not doing good, just turn off your xbox and walk away its not worth getting mad over a stupid game and it’s gonna be there the next day for you to get redemption

I accidently turned on the wrong burner and by the time I smelled the burning plastic of my teapot top, it was too late. I scraped most of it off with a knife but I am left with a plastic residue on the burner, which I know will smoke and stink quite a bit if turned back on. Is there anything I can use to get it off?
Put the burner in the BBQ outside for a few minutes and let the plastic melt off or allow the plastic get soft enough and scrape the remainder off.

We have gas stove at home, and now there is a dilemma what teapot to buy – I insist on the electric one, since it’s so much more convenient (fast, no open flame, turns off itself, etc.). My husband however prefers the "normal" one as he calls it…
Does anyone know what is a better value for money? Regular teapot that consumes a lot of gas for boiling water (a lot of time and gas I would say), or electric one that consumes some amount of electricity (not small amount I suppose…), but works much faster?
Thank you in advance!

Inspired by the song “Lifeboat” by the band Loveage (Feat. Mike Patton on vocals) I set out to do my own trip-hop song. I hope you guys like it, as I feel it’s my best produced song to date.
Silent Flesh Century is an electronic/indie/metal project that I’ve been working on for a while now, just recently getting serious within the past year.
All guitar playing is done by myself and recorded through a Digitech RP250 effect pedal into Audacity via USB, and all other instrumentation/arrangement is done in FL Studio 8 XXL Producer Edition.

It has heat-resistant glass, and says hot tea, hot coffee, cold drink. It has the infuser, a lid and a wide flat bottom. It says "thermal and mechanical elevated resistance". It has symbols on the side, like snowflake for freezer, I guess, dishwasher (safe), microwave(safe) then a stove disk with a lightening arrow above it. Does that mean it’s stovetop safe (electric)?
The symbol sounds more like it could be a shock hazard if placed on a normal element. You shouldn’t have the same problem with a glass stovetop.
